Spyware, Virus, Port mismatch? Check the switch port for errors. Maybe you have a communications issue on the Server. How about INTERNET access? Are you having any erorrs with communications on that server? I ask because I have seen when the server cannot communicate to MS to verify licensing you get this error message. I know certain version can't be installed.
You install the Office 365 version of ProPlus and all accessing users have to have a ProPlus license. You would need a regular version of Office 2016 pro installed. Meaning, you will see errors like this because it is not approved for installation that way. I could be wrong here but I *think* technically using Office 365 on a Terminal Server or shared device is not allowed (there may be some versions). Has anyone had this issue before? We are out of ideas!
The tech I was working with had us run a command that is supposed to return the type of Office that is installed on the computer, and that will only return the Visio license.so that doesn't see the O365 license either. They seem to have run out of ideas and the issue is persisting.Īnother bit of info, there is a separate install of Visio 2013 installed on the server that is not a part of Office365. Microsoft has had us run a repair, uninstall and reinstall, check that there is a shared computer registry key set to 1, verify licenses in the portal, and so on. If they sign out and sign back in the message goes away, but always comes back. About 30 people remote onto the server and use the applications daily for work. I have a client that is using Office365 on a remote desktop server.
